Gujarat:Twa’s Appeal Tour team, Mrs. Kalsang Youdon la and Ms. Thupten Lhamo la is honoured having met various personalities for the last two days at Ahmedabad, Gujarat. On the 31st of December, 2018, they met with Shri Ramanlal Vora, Former speaker of Gujarat Legislative Assembly followed by on 1st January, 2019, they met with Shri Om Prakash Kohli and Shri Rajendra Trivedi who are the Governor and Speaker of Gujarat.
After that, they met Dr. P.G Jyotikar, Vice President of ITFA India, Adv Sandeep P. Jyotikar, Western Region Convener , CORE Group, TSG and Dr. Amit Jyotikar- the President of BSTM , Gujarat.
They briefly highlighted with aforementioned personalities about current situation in Tibet under Chinese rule with the violation of human rights, disappearance of 11th Panchen Lama and deterioration of Tibet’s fragile ecosystem. They also sought supports from them to bring in discussions about Tibet cause with Chinese delegates and other Indian leaders.
Meeting with Indian Leaders was followed by an interactive session with members of Tibetan Refugee Market, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. They informed them of TWA’s past, present and future projects, advocacies and empowerment programs.
